At set points throughout your practical test the testing officer will say.

"Can you tell me about any hazards you see"

​

A hazard is anything

MOVING or LIKELY TO MOVE

*HACK It must have a heartbeat

 

You must say:

WHAT THE HAZARD IS:

​

Car

Bus

Motorcycle

Cyclist

Pedestrian

Truck

etc

*HACK traffic or vehicles covers many situations and you dont need to figure out what exactly it is

WHERE THE HAZARD IS:

​

Front

Back

Left

Right

Oncoming

​

*HACK say my side or your side, or drivers side, passenger side if lefts and rights are confusing

WHAT YOU ARE DOING ABOUT THE HAZARD:

​

Monitoring

Keeping Left

Slowing

Preparing to stop

Giving space

Giving way

​

*HACK so long as you say"watching them" that is sufficient for the testing officer.

​

**SUPER HACK You can list all hazards and where they are and say "watching them all" and the end of your list.

​

Example: traffic in front, traffic behind, traffic oncoming, cyclist on my left, pedestrian on my right and I am watching them all.
